Screenprint

This work, made in an edition of 5 prints, was a step out of my comfort zone as a mostly digital artist. Overall I am very happy with how this piece came out, especially as it was my first foray into screenprinting. To start the work, I used a central design prompt: metempsychosis. This is defined as "the supposed transmigration at death of the soul of a human being or animal into a new body of the same or a different species." The work is meant to capture a moment of this transition, being made-up of iconography that surrounds the topic of death and souls. The eyes of past and future selfs, the wounds and bones of the deceased, and the blood and souls combining in flowing movement.
